Beschreibung
Suzi Quatro more than lives up to her name as the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll." The American has been on stage for over 60 years since the age of 14, performing her greatest hits "Can The Can," "48 Crash," "Devil Gate Drive, " "If You Can't Give Me Love, " and "She's In Love With You" with unbridled energy, mixing them with later songs from her long career and brand-new songs. Born in Detroit in 1950, Suzi Quatro is considered the most successful artist of the glam rock era. She has sold more than 50 million records worldwide and had 14 Top 10 hits in Germany alone. In 1973, she released the single "Can the Can," which brought her worldwide success. Over the years, she released more successful albums and singles. In 2016, Suzi Quatro received an honorary doctorate from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, England, in recognition of her contributions to music. Suzi celebrated another worldwide top ranking in 2024 with a remix of her hit "Stumblin' In" (a duet with Chris Norman from 1978). In Germany, it reached number 2 in the German singles charts, and in Australia, Switzerland, and Austria, it even climbed to number 1. Also in 2024, she rocked the main stage at the legendary Wacken Open Air, played to sold-out crowds at the venerable Royal Albert Hall in London and the famous Sydney Opera House in Australia. Worldwide sold-out headlining tours prove that Suzi Quatro is still a guarantee for full concert arenas and appealing rock shows! Her enormous enthusiasm for performing with her great band is clearly evident at every concert. No wonder her shows often last two hours or more. Now 75 years old, she wants to take it a little easier with live performances in the future. This will also give her time to retreat to the studio to produce a new album. Her live shows are thus becoming increasingly exclusive.
